About

I am simply a teenager like any other but one difference. I was diagnosed with partial hearing impairment when I was 5 weeks old. But I love being deaf, it hasn’t stop me in doing what I want to do. And it certainty hasn’t stopped me being happy. If anything I am very happy, very happy indeed.

  1. I don’t know you, but I just wanted to say that your blog is incredible. Although I also have to live with a deformity, I don’t know anyone else who is partially deaf; your blog has made me realise that without these things, I wouldn’t be who I am today. A massive thank you, and keep up the good work!

  2. What a breath of fresh air to read a blog which is balanced and open, and a pleasure to read. I am also deaf/hoh.

Jamie, if everyone was as positive as you seem to be about life, we would all be smiling with you.

I would like to wish you all the success in the world with your blog.

  3. Hi Jamie, I think it’s so cool what you are doing with this blog. I’m not deaf but I’ve met some deaf people over the internet and stuff…
I’ve started learning ASL (american sign language) and it’s pretty cool to see the smile on a deaf persons face when he sees a hearing person sign.
I’m trying to make other people sign too, but it’s not that easy.

They just won’t understand how wonderful it is if you can talk to everyone.
Everyone can talk, but not everyone can speak to the deaf.

Jamie, do what you do best and make hearing people understand that not hearing isn’t easy. Being deaf isn’t a handicap ’cause you can live without hearing like everyone else. But sometimes deaf people can use a hand/ear.

    Good luck !
